In comparison to the other 11 circular routes, this tour takes you high up by North German standards. In addition to a magnificent view, there is also plenty to see.
The idyllic old town of Otterndorf is a good starting point. From here, you head to the village of Neuhaus (Oste), where you can take a break at the historic harbor. For those seeking a bit more action, you can watch the athletes at the water ski and wakeboard facility or even try it yourself.
In Wingst, the announced ascent of 26 m awaits. For those who want to go even higher, you can take a short detour (1.3 km away from the route) to the "Deutscher Olymp" viewing tower.
Back in Otterndorf, a stroll through the historic city center with its diverse range of museums is recommended. The Crane House is particularly worth a visit, where the bourgeois life of the Hadeln region from the time until about 1850 is depicted.
