Description by the author

The Buckau Valley Bicycle Tour takes you to the far north of Hoher Fläming Nature Park. Coming from the pottery village of Görzke, you first follow the beautifully scenic cycle path that runs along the former railway line almost as far as Ziesar. Here you can enjoy the landscape of the lowland area of Buckau, a treasured Fläming stream, and its tributaries. Shortly after Rottstock, it is worth making a detour to the fish farm Forellenhof Rottstock, where you can go angling yourself or simply enjoy the fresh fish. In Buckau you can continue cycling along the path to Ziesar, where you can visit Ziesar Castle with its museum and tourist information centre as well as the historic town centre. From the end of the village, return along the same path, but this time enjoying a different but equally beautiful perspective. Now back in Buckau, the tour leads through an open landscape on a very quiet road to Steinberg, continuing through the small village of Grebs to Gräben. On the main road, which unfortunately does not yet have a cycle path, you come to Dahlen, where you can visit the estate park with its old stock of trees.

From Dahlen, the trail continues along the main road for a short distance. Shortly after the Riembach crossing, a very quiet side road turns off to the right into the forest, which you follow until you reach Rottstock. Here you can either stop off in Rottstock itself and enjoy a bite to eat or else cycle back along the cycle path to Görzke, where there is an interesting crafts centre with small museums and a farm shop. See on site for information on which potteries can be visited.
