The 1.8 km long hike begins at Braunlager Straße - Panoramapark holiday home complex.
Follow the footpath along the road, passing Gaststätte Roter Bär and continuing to Eschenberger Planweg. Turn right here and do not leave Planweg until Matthias-Schmidt-Baude. From Matthias-Schmidt-Berg, you have a unique view of the snow-covered mountain town and skiing on the slope.
From here, return the same route or take the lift down to the valley and back to the city area via Wäschegrund.
