This tour leads mostly on natural paths around 4 km once around the summit of Köterberg and through the abandoned settlement of Strohberg. Shortly after starting in the village of Köterberg, there is an impressive insight into the geological structure of the mountain at the Roten Wand. On meadow paths and light forest edge paths with cozy rest benches, you can enjoy fantastic views of the wide landscape time and time again. Twice on this hike you cross the border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. The narrow Lower Saxony border tube still bears witness to the territorial claims of the Duke of Brunswick, coupled with the hope of having access to the mountain's supposed treasures.
