The path begins at the hiking car park Linde next to the Catholic parish church built in 1869. Heading north, it follows the road towards Frangenberg, passing by a wayside cross. To the east lies the village of Spich. At a fork in the road, the route continues through a sunken lane in a forest near the village of Kurtenbach. From there, you can follow the Ommerbach stream to its source in Ommerborn. At this "Three-Communities-Corner" is a former monastery with a chapel, where a priest once supported the resistance against the French occupation as the "Rebel of Ommerborn." Along the Heights Road is the remarkable open-air altar, where the annual Corpus Christi procession and blessing of horses and carriages used to take place.

Following the course of the Ommerbach downstream from Kurtenbachtal, you will arrive at the seating area "Zur halben Buche," designed by citizens in 2014. From there, you reach Kaufmannsommer, a hamlet with a remarkable estate, the Ommertalhof. Here, there used to be a grain mill. Passing through Rölenommer, where gardening enthusiasts regularly gather for the "Open Garden Gate," you will reach Müllersommer. Here, as the name suggests, there was also a grain mill dating back to before 1700. From there, the path leads back to the starting point at the church after a brief ascent. If you wish to experience the entire Ommer, follow the L-path in Müllersommer, past the former dolomite quarry, all the way to Quabach, where the Ommer flows into the Sülz river in Lindlar. Additionally, interesting side paths around Miebelsberg can be explored.
