Whether it's the various points of interest and places to linger in Salzgitter-Bad or along the Innerste with the Ringelheim Castle Park, here Salzgitter shows itself from its beautiful side and offers plenty to see and linger. There is also educational information to discover along the way. Starting point, Salzgitter-Ringelheim with its train station as a hub for two regional train connections is recommended. For a rest stop halfway through, the state-recognized town with its brine spa operation, Salzgitter-Bad, offers numerous opportunities. Heading through the old town with its small owner-operated shops and ice cream cafes, the journey continues to Gitter to the open-air museum. Back to Ringelheim via Hohenrode, it goes along the Innerste River, where there are some spots in the summer to cool off.
