The trail starts at the hiking parking lot on county road K 28 near the village Scheuren. The path is well paved and flat. It is therefore ideal for strollers and wheelchairs. From the parking lot, you cross the county road and follow the Bülsberger Weg. Initially, the path leads through a tall deciduous forest, then fields and meadows alternate. After about 1 km you reach the Spezarder Hof, which is already mentioned in a charter of Count Adolf von Berg from the year 1253. At that time, the Berg ruler gave the farm to the Altenberg Abbey and freed it from all taxes. After another kilometer you reach the village of Bülsberg. From here you can walk down to Altenberg via a fairly steep road or turn around at this point to return to the starting point, the hiking parking lot at K 28.
