This hike is a very easy walk along paved paths, with a very slight incline and is well suited for families with strollers or wheelchair users.
The LWL Clinic for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics Warstein is a facility of the Psychiatry Network of the Regional Association Westphalia-Lippe (LWL). The LWL fulfills tasks for the approximately 8.5 million people in Westphalia-Lippe in the areas of social services, disabilities, youth and special schools, health and psychiatry, as well as culture.
The LWL Park was developed in the style of the founding period. The era of the so-called founding period lasted from 1870 to 1914 and spread throughout the empire to the entire population. An eye-catching living culture, influenced by economic growth and a tendency towards richness and representation, emerged. The living culture was characterized by the attempt to give each room a uniform style. Angular basic shapes, rich decoration and articulation, as well as turned legs with profiled ball feet were the outstanding stylistic features of the time. Columns, capitals, reliefs, pilasters, decorative knobs, and occasionally crowning finials were additional stylistic features. You can find this style in many buildings on the LWL grounds.
