This short circular hike near Herrischried takes us to two very worthwhile destinations in the Hotzenwald: the Ödland Chapel, which is located in a beautiful clearing, and the Hornberg Basin, which offers a unique panorama on clear days.
If you are looking for an extended half-day walk, this circular tour will certainly not disappoint: from Herrischried, we climb up to the Ödland Chapel on the Hotzenwald cross-country trail and continue to the nearby Hornberg Basin. The way back is along the Hotzenwald High Trail, an equally recommendable destination.
