Stausee Quitzdorf (Tour 11 im Landkreis Görlitz)

The parking lot at the "Alte Schäferei" between Jänkendorf and Niesky is the starting point for the 20-kilometre tour around the Quitzdorf reservoir. Your route takes you through the idyllic nature reserve to Sproitz. A small farm store offers fresh fish products for sale near the fish breeding ponds of Teichwirtschaft Kreba-Fisch GmbH. Alternatively, you can also cycle over the dam wall to Sproitz, which offers a panoramic view of the reservoir. There is fun for young and old at the KNAX adventure playground in Sproitz. Continue along the frog cycle path to Kollm. Here you can go fishing or explore the lake by canoe.
On your tour towards Diehsa, we recommend taking a look at the tranquil Kollm church from the 14th century. In Diehsa, you will find a listed market ensemble that is still reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Also worth seeing is the Gewandhaus (now the municipal office) with a small park and a bicycle church. Before you arrive at the starting point, it is worth making a detour to the game reserve in Thräna or to the Monumentberg in Groß Radisch.
