The Taubenberg between Warngau, Valley / Darching and Weyarn rises only 300 meters above the valley and is rather inconspicuous at first glance - but if you set out to explore the area, you will discover beautiful hiking trails, surprising views and very cosy spots.
Highlights include the viewing tower at the highest point of the Taubenberg, the mountain inn just below, the Nüchternbrunn pilgrimage chapel and the Fentberg at the end just before Darching. The tour covers almost the entire ridge from Taubenberg to Fentberg (without many meters in altitude).
From the train station in Warngau, you can follow the signs to Taubenberg - through the pretty village center of Oberwarngau and gently uphill into the forest. After 3.5 kilometers you have reached the highest point of the tour. In an undulating up and down, the route leads past the observation tower, the Taubenberg mountain inn and the Nüchternbrunn pilgrimage chapel to Mitterdarching.
