It's just over half an hour from Munich main station and you get off in Warngau in picture-book Bavaria. From the station, this loop takes you via Oberwarngau to Osterwarngau. On the Nüchternbrunnweg trail, the route finally enters the forest and climbs up the (sometimes steep) Taferlweg trail.
Shortly after the ascent, the pretty Marienwallfahrtskirche Nüchternbrunn church awaits and after 1.5 km of undulating ups and downs, you reach the Taubenberg mountain inn, which offers food, a playground and lots of animals. However, children should not run around too much, as there is still the climb to the observation tower (with a magnificent view of the Bavarian Alps) and the highest point of the Taubenberg. But then it's all downhill back to Warngau.
