From the Himmelmoos parking lot back onto the Alpenstraße and approx. 200 m back in the direction of Bayrischzell. A narrow asphalt road now branches off to the right. This is the road to a training center for the German army's mountain troops. The road is closed to general traffic and leads in serpentines - always in a sunny location - up to the Lacheralm (not farmed) at an altitude of 1460 m. Due to the sunny location, the road is often free of snow and ice even in winter and is therefore easy to walk on.
Rest stops include the Cafe Kotz at the 'Unteres Sudelfeld' parking lot, the Hotel-Berggasthof Sudelfeld, the Schindelberger Alm or the Waldkopfstüberl.
