Mit der Bahn in die Berge: Jasberg-Runde

Situated in the idyllic Upper Bavarian foothills of the Alps, Otterfing (S-Bahn and BRB stop) is the perfect starting point for relaxed walks - whether as a head-clearing stroll on long summer days after work (including a refreshment stop, of course) or for a half-day hike.

This tour takes you up the Jasberg - but that doesn't mean climbing to the summit. The small hill is an insider tip, especially for racing cyclists and local walkers. In good weather, you can see the Alpine chain with Wendelstein and Wallberg, the Zugspitze, the Karwendel and the Allgäu Alps. The bench at the top by the chapel is a great place to sit and when the organic farm store is open, you can pick up a (always generously portioned) snack.

On the way back, you loop back to Otterfing via Erlach and Wettlkam (refreshments available).
