Mörike Ruhe-Runde

A varied route that leads past the wild boar enclosure and the Mörike resting place.

Starting at the Bebenhausen parking lot directly on the L1208, the route leads along the Alte Straße to Bebenhausen. There the path leads us directly to the main portal of Bebenhausen Monastery and Palace. A detour is worthwhile.

The route continues slightly uphill to the orchards surrounding the village of Bebenhausen. We continue along Böblinger Sträßchen and enter the forest at a gate. After a few meters downhill, we discover the wild boar enclosure on the left. The wild boars can be easily observed during a rest and barbecue.

We follow the path to the left along the enclosure. The path now leads slightly uphill again. The turn-off down to the stream on a narrow path is somewhat hidden. We cross the stream over a small bridge and continue steeply uphill for a short distance. When we reach the wide forest path, we keep left and leave the forest again through a gate. Here we keep sharp right along the edge of the forest.

After a few meters, the path turns back into the forest through a gate and we climb up a narrow path to the Mörikeruhe. The beautiful hut invites you to take a break (no barbecue facilities) and offers a wonderful view of Bebenhausen. The surrounding forest looks like a picture frame.Continue through the forest to the Fohlenweide meadow, then downhill until you reach the meadows around Bebenhausen again. Here we keep left and shortly before reaching the monastery wall, the path leads us along it on the right. At the end of the sports field, we turn left "Am Goldersbach". After a few hundred meters, we reach the starting point at the parking lot.
