From the Hermannsdenkmal, the approximately 3 kilometers long OH! 1 trail steadily descends towards Detmold. Among the attractions along the way are the Hünenring, an old rampart from Roman times, and the stream in Friedensthal, which is especially interesting for children.
Both the Hermannsdenkmal and the Teuto Climbing Park at the foot of the monument, as well as the LWL Open-Air Museum, are 3 out of a total of 8 adventure stations in the Children's Nature Adventure World, a project of the Teutoburg Forest/Eggegebirge Nature Park.
