GPS adventure trail "Wichtelsteig" in Kalletal/Osterhagen

The natural community in Central Europe is the forest. Here in Kalletal, a beech mixed forest prevails due to the soil types and climatic conditions. Its biodiversity is based on the variety of habitats it provides. These can be different "layers" in a tree or its pronounced root system in the ground. Fallen trees create new habitat through their root plates, and forest edges also provide access to open fields. The goal of our GPS trail is to show you different habitats of animals and plants in the beech forest. At seven stations, interesting information, small quiz questions, and other activities related to nature await you.
