Fischerlweg 1

On the Fischerlweg around Weißenregen: Along the spa gardens and after crossing the bridge at the Roter Steg, you leave the town center on the left downstream on the romantic Spatilleweg. The first stop is the Magdalenenkapelle chapel, where a small staircase leads down to the hidden Fatima grotto. Continue to the Regenstein, past the "Waldfrieden" house, where the poet Maximilian Schmidt, known as the Waldschmidt, once lived. After a flat section parallel to the cycle path, you soon reach the confluence of the White Rain and the Black Rain as well as the power station at Blaibacher See with its huge fish ladder and boat hire. On a short gravel path and further up the Bramesleite you come to the village of Weißenregen (refreshment stop: Gasthof Zur Klause) with its beautifully furnished pilgrimage church and pulpit. Here you can also enjoy the wonderful view of the Haidstein, the Hohenbogen, the Kaitersberg and Bad Kötzting. Descend along the pilgrimage path with its Stations of the Cross and return to the starting point in just under half an hour.
