Jägersteig

From the tourist information office along Marktstraße to the Neumeyer shoe store. There we turn right into Morethgasse and walk past several viewing benches and a plague memorial cross up to the road in Vorderbuchberg, in the center of the village Gasthaus Zum Wirt (closed Mon, Tue-Sat from 5 pm, Sun from 10 am). There we turn right along the road to the Anger (hiking sign and seating area). We take the left-hand road towards Hofberg. Turn left again at the chapel. On this forest path, we pass an old quarry near the border road, which we do not follow, but stay on the forest path, which again joins the border road at a chapel just before Hofberg. We continue through the village of Hofberg in the direction of Jägershof. Shortly before the Rothenbaum memorial (Rothenbaum was a parish in the Bohemian Forest), we turn left, take the path through the forest, but can also take the road to Jägershof, Schützenheim restaurant only open on Sundays. In the Jägershof church is the altarpiece of the former Rothenbaum parish church. On the way back we come to Hofberg again, turn half-left before the first estate, follow the narrow tarred road that runs through the forest, reach Vorderbuchberg, where there is a restaurant in the center of the village and return to Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut.
