From the lower end of the parking lot of the Hohenbogen sports and leisure center, we follow the Nk4 markings into the forest. We come to a fork in the path. The path to the right is the Nk11, which leads to Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut. We follow the Nk4 marker to the left. This path soon leads to the left again and is a short circular route around the Birkenberg. After the circuit around the Birkenberg, we can walk another 200 m downhill to a viewing bench from where we have a wonderful view of Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut.
