This route runs through the austere, beautiful landscape north-east of the 550-year-old Marian pilgrimage site of Neukirchen b. Hl. Blut. The baroque pilgrimage church with its double altar and statue of the Madonna is well worth a visit. The pilgrimage museum is located in the former Pflegerschloss. From May to September, the "Culture in the Castle" series of events is free of charge. The wax art gallery can be visited in the cross-border meeting center in the Franciscan monastery. In Warzenried, the path turns off in the direction of Jägershof. Between Jägershof and Hofberg is the memorial site of the former Rothenbaum parish. From here you have a sweeping view of the Bohemian Forest. At Vorderbuchberger Einöde, the route continues south. The route leads via Rittsteig and Schicherhof back to Neukirchen b. Hl. Blut. Tip: Hohenbogen sports and leisure center with summer toboggan run and fun park: downhill skate park, butterfly swing and children's playground.
