The "Route of the Sandstone Quarries" shows the conditions and lifestyles of the workers in the quarries.
The sandstone landscapes stretching downstream from the Neckar are fascinating. In addition, the sandstone quarry route provides a geological insight into the formation of red sandstone over 240 million years ago. Based on stories and diary entries, it tells of the daily challenges faced by workers in the 19th century.The route is a branch trail and consists of information boards that reflect the period that shaped the Pleutersbach district. The starting point is at the Eberbach-Pleutersbach hiking parking lot and leads along the Neckar Valley cycle path.
