Kleiner Lauterbacher Waldweg

Right at the start of this extensive walk, you can enjoy a fantastic view over the Großer Ostersee lake and the Alpine chain towering behind it. On partly narrow and rooty forest paths, you walk around the foothills of Lake Ameissee and Lake Breitenau until you reach the Lauterbacher Mühle private clinic. Soon after, a wide forest path branches off in the direction of Ellmann. Within sight of the hamlet, the route turns to the southwest and climbs gently past a few individual farms. Finally, the panoramic route leads to Eichendorf. At the Tradfranz wasteland, the trail finally leads deep into the sometimes dark Lauterbach forest - past the Pollingsried chapel and the Rohrmoos pond. From the Lauterbacher Mühle private clinic back to the starting point at Gut Aiderbichl, follow the outward route.

Author's tip: A detour to the small bathing area on the eastern shore of the Großer Ostersee is worthwhile! Animal lovers can also visit Gut Aiderbichl.
