Magical powers are attributed to the yew trees in the former monastery forest in Paterzell. This largest yew stand in Germany has been a nature reserve since 1939. Yew trees can live for over 1000 years. The formation of calcareous tufa can be observed in the damp forest. 10 folding panels along the trail provide information about the yew tree.
