Zur Wallfahrtskirche (KC 1)*

Start & finish: Kronach railroad station, Bahnhofsplatz 6, 96317 Kronach

Route route: Kronach, Dörfles, Friesen, Glosberg, Knellendorf, Kronach.

Route description: From Kronach train station, keep right and take the cycle path along the Haßlach initially in the direction of Neuses. After a short stretch along the river, we turn left and cross the Schwarzer Steg. Immediately afterwards, turn left onto the cycle path to the north, which leads along the river Kronach into Pfählangerstraße and Kulmbacher Straße. Cross the road at the traffic lights by the Spitalbrücke bridge and continue along the Haßlach until you reach the next footbridge. Turn left over the footbridge and then right into Mangstraße. Follow this road to the end, then turn right, cross the river again and follow Kreuzbergstraße to the traffic lights. Turn left here and follow the cycle path that leads to Dörfles and on to Friesen. In Friesen, we turn left out of town and reach the traffic circle before Friesen. Cross the roundabout and follow the cycle path on the right-hand side of the road. A little later, we take the cycle path to Letzenhof and continue along agricultural roads to Glosberg with its well-known pilgrimage church. There is a long, gentle ascent and two short climbs to contend with. In Glosberg, turn left and then follow Glosberger Straße out of town. At the traffic circle, keep left and follow the cycle path signs via Knellendorf in Haßlachtal back to Kronach. (*)
