Piste cyclable transfrontalière Villé-Elzach

If once upon a time an upheaval made of the same massif two twin mountains and if the river which bypassed it came to water this fissure, it was to offer us a luxuriant plain, bordered by the Vosges and the black forest
Today the links still exist and this 85 km cycle path links the twin valleys of Villé and Elzach

In addition to the diversity and beauty of the sites crossed, the interest of this route is that it can be stretched in time according to your desires and your physical condition. Seasoned cyclists will take one or two days, the others will be able to multiply the stages and thus hike several days

From Villé towards the east, or from Elzach towards the west, the clearly marked track is pleasant and without difficulty. From west to east, it first runs along the Villé valley, then follows the Route des Vins (Wine Route) with its typical villages, crosses the astonishing Ried plain, crosses the Rhine, runs along the banks of the Elz and stops at the foot of the Black Forest
