City walk in the fairytale of the Moselle: wine town Bernkastel

With this city walk we experience the romance of the Moselle in Bernkastel-Kues, one of the most beautiful wine villages in Germany. Narrow cobbled streets , graceful half-timbered houses and cozy wine terraces await you in a setting that seems to come straight from a fairytale book .

We provide a walk to Burg Landshut to enjoy a breathtaking view of the winding Moselle and the wine terraces. For those who find this climb too much, you can skip it and take the trip by car (approx. 100 meters in altitude over 1 km).

Start at the large parking lot north of the city, and we walk to the Graacher Tor . A little further we come to a small square with the Bärenbrunnen, symbol of the city.

We can already walk to the Marktplatz out of curiosity, but we will pass by here later. We walk to the Capuchin Cross and the Historical Bonbonmacherei.

We return to start the climb to Burg Landshut . At the top, a beautiful panorama and a pick-me-up for the inner man await us.

After the descent we arrive at the picturesque Marktplatz with its beautiful St. Michael's Fountain.

Along the parish church of St. Michael we walk to the bridge to cross the Moselle to Kues. The St. Niklaushospital with the Mosel-Weinmuseum are definitely worth a visit.

After a short detour we return to the starting point via Karlsbader Platz with the fountain of the same name.
