Madpakkehuset – Nature, learning, and coziness under one roof

The packed lunch house is a natural gathering point in the area – a cozy, covered place where you can enjoy your food sheltered from the weather, surrounded by nature, play, and learning. In front of the house, you will find sturdy picnic tables with a view of our wildflower meadow and the beautiful wooden sculptures created by the wood artist Jeppe Røpke. On the outside of the packed lunch house, insect hotels have been installed, providing habitats for bees, butterflies, and other useful small creatures. Here, you can get up close to the small residents of nature. Inside, there are picnic tables as well as benches along the walls – perfect for school classes, families, or smaller groups. Learning panels about animals, birds, and the area's nature and history hang here – for both children and adults, so everyone can join in. The house is decorated with small carved wooden animals that spark curiosity – some of them are even a special gift from the mayor at the inauguration of the area. The packed lunch house is a place where you can take a break, learn something new, and be together – regardless of the weather.
