Castle of Castellcir

The castle of Castellcir, or Castell Cir, is a Romanesque castle located in the municipality of Castellcir, in the comarca of Moianès. It is a historical monument registered in the registry of Cultural Heritage of National Interest of the Catalan heritage and in the Cultural Interest Heritage registry of the state with the code RI-51-0005246. Access to the castle is via the Camí del Castell, which departs from the old town of Castellcir, next to the old parish church of Sant Andreu, heading northeast along the valley of the riera de Castellcir. When reaching the Centelles stream, one must continue along the northern side of the valley and gradually ascend northeast to reach, on foot, the Castle of Castellcir.
