Castle of Palol d'Onyar

The Castle of Palol d'Onyar is a castle in the village of Palol d'Onyar, located in the Gironès. It is a work declared a cultural asset of national interest. The castle is attached to the church of Sant Sadurní. It is a house that maintains the structure of a castle despite having been heavily modified. An arched portal leads to the old courtyard that connects with the rooms of the house and the chapel. The complex, situated on a hill, has walls that are sloped on the north and west sides; the north wall has several loopholes. The masonry has been plastered, and the openings have frames made of well-dressed stone.
