The Convent of the Discalced Mercenaries is located in Plazuela de la Botica, between the small Basilica of Santa Maria de l'Asunción and the Church of Sant Pere.

It is the last remaining monastery in Arcos. It was founded in 1642 by a donation from a director of Arcos, Mrs. Beatriz de la Calle y Natera. The chapel houses the most important baroque altarpieces: a statue of Our Lady of Mercy and another of the patron saint Joseph.

Inside, among other works of art, are the statue of the city's patron Saint Michael, an infant Jesus attributed to Roldana, and an ornate Bargueño.
