The Fountain of the Eight Brocs is located just in front of the Church of Our Father Jesus and a few meters from the Puente Viejo , the Arab Bridge, the Arab Baths of Ronda and the Arch of Felipe V.
It is the most monumental fountain in the whole city and also the only old one that has survived.
Entirely in stone, it has two fronts with two large washbasins . Eight gargoyles decorated with rosettes flow into the main trough, while the rear trough, which served as a trough , was fed with the residual water from the previous one. Also shown on this page are the squares decorated with rosettes, although they have a purely decorative purpose.
The fountain is crowned by a four-merloned pediment topped by a cross. The tympanum of the pediment is completed by a central shield of Ronda, flanked by two medallions with inscriptions relating to the construction of the fountain, which took place during the reign of Felipe V (first half of the 18th century).
