Plaça d'Espanya in Ronda is a central urban square, one of the most emblematic and busiest in the city.
It is located in Ciudad Nueva , at the southern end of Calle Virgen de la Paz, and is connected to other major streets such as Calle Nova and Calle Rosario.
This square is the entry point to "la Ciudad" or the old and monumental part of Ronda, accessible from the more modern and commercial part via the impressive Puente Nou that starts here.
One of the most interesting buildings in this square is the Parador Nacional de Turisme , which overlooks the impressive Tajo de Ronda.
The square has recently been renovated and in the center there is a roundabout with a monument in honor of Antonio de los Ríos Rosas , a Spanish jurist and politician who was born in Ronda in 1812 and chaired the House of Representatives during legislative periods. from 1863-1864, 1865-1866 and 1872.
