Church of Our Lady of Merced - Ronda

The Merced Church still preserves the vegetable garden and the first building from 1585.

The front façade consists of three brick lanes separated by brick pilasters. The facade is made of natural stone with a semicircular arch with profiled wire and corrugated posts. The keystone has vegetal motifs and diamond-shaped decorations on the parapets. The arch is framed by pilasters with fluted capitals topped by pyramids.

On the right side of the facade is the octagonal tower made of slipped brick , imitating stone masonry.

Inside, the jeweled gilded silver reliquary containing the untouchable hand of Saint Teresa of Jesus , dating from the 17th century, stands out. Also worth mentioning is the sculpture of a sorrowing woman dedicated to Soledad (19th century) and the 17th-century oil paintings , including one depicting scenes from the life of Saint Peter Nolasco and the Brother Agustín Leonardo (17th century ) is attributed.
