Palau Domecq is the best example of 18th century Baroque architecture in Jerez.
Since 1885 it has been home to one of the families with the longest winemaking tradition in Spain, the Domecq family.
Palau Domecq corresponds to the typology of bourgeois houses in Jerez from the second half of the 18th century.
It is the prototype of the great houses built by the nobility and bourgeoisie of the town's resident winemakers .
With a square plan, it is structured by a large central patio in Italian marble and a three-story facade with majestic balconies that give access to one of the best views of Jerez.
The architects were Juan Díaz de la Guerra, Antonio Matías de Figueroa from Seville and Pedro de Cos, authors of many famous works in Jerez and Andalusia.
Paintings, tapestries, sculptures and precious materials , particularly from Italy, Flanders and France , form a unique and exceptional artistic and cultural ensemble.
