Calp - Coll de Rates (Tàrbena) - Calp

Although much longer, this southern ascent of the Coll de Rates is far less popular than the "official" ascent of the Coll de Rates from Parcent.
After the town of Callosa, you follow the CV-715 north towards Bolulla and Tarbena. The first few kilometers are actually the hardest part of the climb, and after you pass Tarbena around kilometer 8, there are even a few descents. Towards the end, the gradient increases a bit, and one thing is certain: you will be glad to see the restaurant at the top.
