Outside Teruel, the route gradually ascends and soon becomes unpaved. After about 10km, it reaches a gravel road (a former railway) and climbs further to over 1200m before descending to Puebla de Valverde where the path ends. A quiet road through a hilly area passes by two noteworthy villages with unusual names: Mora de Rubielos and Rubielos de Mora. Then a rapid descent to Olba (700m altitude), a small village with limited amenities.
