Descent to Cala del Cañuelo

Beautiful walk where the return route is identical to the outgoing route with a descent to the boulder beach Cala del Cañuela. Along the way, mountain goats can be seen. 150 m descent and 150 m ascent. Without breaks, 30 minutes to descend and ascend.
There is a parking area provided about 50 m from the roundabout on the N34 (coastal road), the border between the province of Malaga and Granada.

Descent along a wider road, car-free - except for a few residents living along the road. After a fairly short time, there is a path to the right, Sendero Bajada al Cañuelo. Follow this path. The path ends at a wider, unpaved road. Turn left here. A bit further, this road leads to the wider, sometimes paved road to the beach. Continue following this road down.

Along the way there is a possibility to see mountain goats of the Pyrenean goat species, Capra pyrenaica, in Spanish Cabra montes.

At the end of the walk, on the beach is chiringuito Paraiso, open every day of the year.
