Beautiful mountain route. Just over 115 km and more than 2600 meters of elevation gain. Departure from Alcudia. It's a nice approach along the bay of Pollença. Once we are a few km out of the city, we start the 'Coll de Femenia'. (8.9 km - 441m elevation gain - average 4.9% - summit at 540m). It's a beautiful, consistent climb, nice asphalt, stunning surroundings. Then we descend towards Pixarells. You can make a detour to the Sanctuari (abbey) de Lluc (we did this during the recon, but next time we’ll skip it - also adjusted in this version) and continue to Lluc, then climb to 'Coll de La Batalla'. We continue towards Sa Calobra and stop at a beautiful viewpoint 'Mirador de s'Entreforc'. We continue until an aqueduct (des torrent des Gorg Blau) where we turn right, towards Coll dels Reis (2.6km - 130m elevation gain - average 5.1% - summit at 682m). This is the highest point of our ride. About 500 meters further, the road makes a 270° turn to descend down a series of hairpin bends. If you do not wish to descend further, the ride will be about 85 km and around 1300 meters of elevation gain: At the 270° turn, you can take a terrace to grab a drink and enjoy the fantastic view. If you choose the other option, you will descend to Port de Sa Calobra, after which you must return up the exact same way. 10.1 km long. We cover 654 meters of elevation gain at an average climbing percentage of 6.5%. At the top, we take the road back, towards Coll de la Batalla, (8.1km - 397m elevation gain - average 4.9% - summit 682m). Here at the gas station, you can have something to eat and/or drink. Here, our group (9 persons) had spaghetti bolognese. Then we descend about 8 km to Caimari. We continue towards Campanet, Sa Pablo, Buger (avoid the center - on an initial recon we rode a very steep, tiled slope - the carrer des Molins) and back towards Alcudia via Parc Naturel de Albuferra (reed plantations on both sides of the road). This way we return to the bay and ride back into Alcudia.
