PR-S-026. Valcaba Wells

The PR-S-026 route, known as Pozos de Valcaba, extends along 19.5 kilometers in the beautiful region of Cantabria. This high-difficulty trail offers hikers the opportunity to explore the rich nature and cultural heritage of the area, ascending a total of 593 meters through stunning mountainous landscapes. Along the route, visitors can admire the Church of San Pedro ad Víncula, a monument declared a Bien de Interés Cultural on May 9, 1994. This church, located in Liérganes, is a remarkable example of the region's religious architecture and represents an important historical legacy. Additionally, the route passes near the Church of San Pantaleón, which is situated on a hill south of Liérganes. Its prism-shaped tower, attached to the west wall, stands out in the landscape, offering an impressive view from its elevated location.
