CB (Costa Brava): Route 7
A chance to ride one of the classic massive cols of Girona. Leaving the city to the Southwest, the first 25km are a warm up, including a short climb to Aiguaviva, before the climb begins at Santa Coloma de Farners. It is a long 21km climb, but consistently mellow gradients mean it is pleasant. The highlight of this ride is the almost 35km descent from Sant Hilari de Sacalm to Anglès, winding and looping, with great views. The final test is the climb to Les Serres, tiny in comparison with the first climb, before returning to Girona from the west.
