Kumlinge is a municipality consisting of a group of islands in Åland, an autonomous territory of Finland. Kumlinge, which is also the name of the largest island in the group, means "rocky passage."The municipality has a population of 313 and covers an area of 865.88 square kilometres of which 761.12 km2 is water. The population density is 3.15 inhabitants per square kilometre .
