The museum is a place of expression that relates one of the leading figures of 18th century Alsace, Jean-Fréderic Oberlin, pastor, teacher, botanist, rural leader and defender of human rights. In this museum it is not a question of looking passively at an object, an image, a cartel, but of perceiving, listening, reading, building, manipulating, feeling in order to understand the divine complexity of the pastor of Waldersbach.
