Saint-Jal is a French commune located in the department of Corrèze in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The climate characterizing the commune is classified, in 2010, as "altered oceanic climate," according to the climate typology of France, which then counts eight major types of climates in mainland France. In 2020, the commune remains under the same type of climate in the classification established by Météo-France, which now only recognizes, at first glance, five major types of climates in mainland France. It is a transitional area between oceanic climate, mountain climate, and semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. Rainfall is lower than by the coast, except near the reliefs.
