This municipality in the Ardennes is part of the community of communes of the Sedan area and is served by four departmental roads. Organized in open fields, it is surrounded by cultivated plots and meadows. The territory of the municipality is bordered to the north by the Belgian border and is largely composed of forests. The main village is drained by a small tributary of the Meuse, the Mézières stream. The hamlet of Olly, which is administratively linked to Illy, is drained by the Givonne river.
