Bannoncourt is a French municipality with 159 inhabitants in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region. It belongs to the Commercy arrondissement and the Dieue-sur-Meuse canton. The inhabitants call themselves Bannoncourtois/Bannoncourtoises. The municipality is located about 32 kilometers northeast of Bar-le-Duc in the southern part of the Meuse department. The municipality consists of the village of Bannoncourt and is situated on the Meuse River and near the Meuse Canal. Large areas in the western part of the municipality are forested. Neighboring municipalities are Lacroix-sur-Meuse to the northeast and east, Rouvrois-sur-Meuse to the east and southeast, Maizey to the southeast, Dompcevrin to the south, Lahaymeix to the southwest, and Woimbey to the west and northwest.
