At an altitude of about 720 meters between forested slopes lies the town of Ax Les Thermes. In this town, the rivers Lauze and Oriege converge. In Roman times, Ax Les Thermes was already known as a spa resort. Nowadays, there are still sixty different hot springs to be found, some of which have temperatures above 75 degrees. There is much to do in the area, making it an excellent place for the active holidaymaker to enjoy beautiful mountain hikes.
