Ernolsheim-Bruche is a French municipality with 1887 inhabitants located on the Bruche in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region.
As early as 737, the monastery of Weißenburg is said to have acquired property in Aunulfovillare, according to local historians. Emperor Louis the Pious confirmed the property "in Erdoldisvillare" for the monastery of Schwarzach in 828. Around 1127, the place was called Ernouldsheim or Arnouldsheim and was owned by the Bishop of Strasbourg. The village is mentioned in a document from 1286. Around 1554, the Urendorf family owned a castle there in Renaissance style. From 1871 to 1918, Ernolsheim and the entire Alsace belonged to the German Empire.
