This museum was created in the restored house where Jean RACINE spent his childhood. At the age of 3, orphaned of both father and mother, he was taken in by his grandmother, Marie DESMOULINS, who lived there. In a modern setting, you can discover an exceptional collection of documents concerning Jean RACINE and his work. * baptismal certificate December 22, 1639 * letters, portraits, engravings * first editions * recent French and foreign editions * stamps bearing the effigy of Jean RACINE * beautiful marble statue by David d'ANGERS. You'll also find a wealth of information on the history of La Ferté-Milon and the surrounding area. Open Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, 10am to 12:30pm and 2:30pm to 5pm, April to October.
