Located on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes, this castle is a jewel of medieval architecture. First a hunting manor in the 12th century, then a royal residence in the 16th and 17th centuries, it became a real military stronghold under the Empire. After suffering serious damage during the Second World War, it was restored to its former splendour. The keep, the Sainte-Chapelle, the ramparts and the Village tower are among its treasures.
